The nRF Connect Extension for Visual Studio Code was recently updated to v2021.10.103 but, unfortunately, a problem mentioned in this post still exists: "Unknown board" issues with nRF Connect for Visual Studio Code.
I wanted to bring this to your attention again because pavan had mentioned that "the new release will contain the fix". Perhaps the fix was forgotten?

Version 2021.10.103 was actually released on October 14th and this release was before the bug was noted. There will be an update later this week, but I'm afraid that too does not contain the bug fix and you will have to wait a bit more longer. Really sorry

Ah, okay. My apologies then, pavan! I had checked the version of the extension earlier in the day and it was still showing 2021.09.X, so I thought the update happened yesterday.
Should the Nordic software engineers wish to share the patch for that particular problem (just the delta containing the changed lines would work for me), I'd be more than happy to give it a test run. 
Oops. I did try to link your name, honestly. 
All that comes up when entering @ pk is "Pavan (PK)".
My VS Code updated to v2021.11.109 of the extension today, and this problem is still there.
