Zephyr OpenThread mesh blacklisting connected nodes

Hello,

I am considering using OpenThread mesh network for an application. I need to know if it is possible to blacklist/remove a device connected to the mesh network from a thread leader/router (e.g. forcing it to device role detached, or something) and if it is possible to add the same device back to the network again at a later time. If it is possible, please outline the procedure to do so.

The macfilter cloud be what you are looking for. The following command could add a device with IEEE 802.15.4 Extended Address 0f6127e33af6xxxx.

> macfilter addr denylist
Done
> macfilter addr add 0f6127e33af6xxxx
Done

You can also find more disscussion about macfilter from OpenThread users group. Another option might be managing your device on application-level as Apple HomeKit does.
