nRF Connect for Desktop v3.8.0 does not see my DK PCA10040 v.1.2.4

I tried to install the nRF Connect for Desktop v3.8.0 on my PC with Windows 7, but it does not connect to DK PCA10040. The nRf studio work fine with my DK. 
Then I install old version  nRF Connect v3.7.0 It does not work.

Windows 7 is not supported. Please upgrade to Windows 10.

This is not about using the new nRF Connect. I want to use an old version of nRF Connect (v3.30) with Windows 7. Why is this not possible?

Hi,

You mentioned v3.8.0 and v.3.7.0 in the problem description. Either way, windows does not support that os version anymore, so neither do we. Please try upgrading your windows version.
