Way to get IMEI without turning on the modem library and without AT Commands

Hi,

In case the FMFU fails or the device gets into some recovery state. Is there a way to get IMEI without enabling the modem library? When the modem is in process of failed update, enabling it might not be an option.

Unfortunately, this can not be read out without involving the modem (via. AT command).

So do you have any suggestion how to get the IMEI from the modem when e.g. FMFU fails and MFW is inconsistent state? 

Would storing the IMEI outside the modem be an option?

You could read out and store the imei prior to triggering the full modem firmware upgrade.
