nrRF Connect for Desktop v3.8.0 discovering issue

I've just updated from v3.7.0 to v3.8.0.

Devices discovering seems to not operate.  (two nRF52840 dongles are plugged in).

Programmer 2.0.0 output looks like:

12:25:18.201

Application data folder: C:\Users\PG\AppData\Roaming\nrfconnect\pc-nrfconnect-programmer

Error while probing devices: EnumerateWorker json error

 Bluetooth Low Energy v3.0.0 returns:

12:28:41.981

Application data folder: C:\Users\PG\AppData\Roaming\nrfconnect\pc-nrfconnect-ble

12:28:42.243

TypeError: Failed to fetch. Falling back to stored data

12:28:42.362

Error while probing devices: EnumerateWorker json error

Environment: Windows 8.1, nRF52840 dongles. 

Tried to run the apps with administrator access. Didn't help.

How to deal with it?

Hello, 

First of all I must point out that Windows 8 was end of lifed in 2016, and our tools are not tested with this version.

That said, we do appreciate your feedback! Our SW team are aware of the issues with v3.8.0 and working with a fix to release soon.

Will try to update you as soon as I know  more, but please keep an eye on the Updates tab in Settings.

By the way, how can I roll back to 3.7.0 components? I mean Programmer v1.x and BLE  v2.x components.

It looks like I can roll back nRF Connect shell (main application) but not components.

Workaround for downgrading was found here:
