nrf9160dk v0.9.0 mcp2515 Stand-Alone CAN Controller with SPI Interface SDK v1.7.1 - setup

Hi.

I would like to make an app for communicare with a can device.
I see that the chip mcp2515 is a popular one .So i purchsed some dev boards with this chip.
One of them is this https://www.elecrow.com/wiki/index.php?title=CAN-BUS_Shield.  as it seems to fit the slot on my dev board.

Now i looking for a siutble software package to use and the setup for my board.

My frist project will communicate with an device the use OpenCAN  protocol.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by suitable software package. Can you elaborate?

I see that the chip mcp2515 is a popular one .

In general, you might want to use one of the nRF9160 SPI peripherals to communicate with the MCP2515. You can either use Zephyrs interface or the nrfx drivers for that.
