In nrf connect for desktop application, not show nrf52840 dongle device in select device

Hello Kenneth,

I am trying to program the nRF52840 Dongle with the HEX file according to "Programming the nRF52840 Dongle". The dongle is connected to USB port and the LD2 is pulsing red.

When I click SELECT DEVICE I can only see "Connect a Nordic development kit to your computer".

    Hi, I was experiencing a very similar issue and I'm not sure how it got resolved.  I upgraded nRF Connect and the Bluetooth Low Energy app to 3.9.0 and 3.0.0 respectively, and now I couldn't see my NRF52840 Dongles (I have several connected and they worked fine before) or any other usb connected devices (e.g. I have an NRF52840DK connected for programming and a NRF52832DK with PPK v1 connected for power profiling).

    None of these showed up in the BLE app or the power profiler app.  I was getting the same "Connect a Nordic development kit.." message only. 

    Then I power cycled one of the DKs and used JLink to erase a board, and restarted NRF Connect, and it started showing my devices.

    Maybe that will help you and also Nordic figure out why this is happening.
