NRF Connect for Desktop v3.9.0 killing nrfjprog commands

After updating NRF Connect v3.9.0 to eliminate the recently documented JSON + connectivity errors with nrf Programmer and Power Profiler, my bash scripts utilizing nrfprog commands are no longer working. I downgraded J-Link to v688A as noted in a previous post (was at v750 or something before) but now my nrfjprog commands (--memrd, --memwr, --program etc.) have internal errors.

Here is the log when I cmd nrfjprog --memrd 0x10001080 --log
  

Also, uninstalling, reinstalling and switching downgrading J-Link has also not fixed any of the DK connectivity issues in Programmer and Power Profiler...

Is there a timeline for a patch to fix this (ie NRF connect v3.10 etc?)

No update, I'm afraid. Still working to find a solution. Are you able to share the script that you are using?
