Python API for digital tracing with the PPK2

Hello to the community!

We are using extensively the PPK2 in our test automation.

I do not want to sound like a salesman,
but I want to give our testimony:
The PPK2 is an excellent and cost efficient tool for test automation,
since you can:

- Control power programatically
- Perform fairly accurate (for our needs) average current measurements

That being said, without the:
https://github.com/IRNAS/ppk2-api-python

we wouldn't ever consider using the PPK2.

Our questions:

- Is Nordic going to allocate resources for the PPK2's python API?
Relying on a "good will" project for such a critical part of our SW development process is a red light for management.

- As of now, is there anywhere a python API, even in pre-alpha state, that we can use to do digital tracing?

  • Hi,

Thank you for the feedback. Regarding an official Python API for ppk2 from Nordic, I don't think it will be possible anytime soon. And unfortunately, there are no API's that support digital tracing as of now.. if anything comes about, I will update it to you.

    Regards,

    Swathy
