Hello All,
Thank you in advance for your time and interest in this issue and willingness to provide suggestions.
We have a product that uses the nRF52832 processor in the BMD-350-A-R module.
The issue we're observing is a noise 'spike' in the ADC data which appears to be happening concurrently with BLE activity (advertisements/transmits).
Another piece of information is that we had a Rev-A PCBA prototype(we're on Rev-B now) which we're not seeing this issue. The changes between the Rev-A and B are pretty minimal and we believe shouldn't have caused this.
The problem appears to be a signal integrity issue as we're seeing the noise spike associated with a medium-current draw event(BLE radio). The problem with this theory is that when we probe the power-rails with an external Oscilloscope we don't see the noise spikes. So the noise spikes are only observable from the ADC's perspective.
Another issue we think might cause something like this is the assembly process, but we used a similar assembly process with the Rev-A hardware and it doesn't have this problem.
Any suggestions on what else might be causing this noise spike while keeping in mind the hints we've provided?
Tommy
