It would be convenient in my design to use a single PCB design in 2 different roles.
1. As a continuously-powered rechargeable battery device, with USB charging.
2. As a USB only powered device - with no battery (so that it always immediately powers off when unplugged).
Will the nPM1100 always function correctly without a battery present?
(i.e. VOUTB will always remain at the preset voltage)
Testing with the nPM1100-EK ***appears*** to be OK - but I can't see any reference to using it this way in the documentation.
