About nRF24L01P‘s MTBF, FIT and work environment

Hello

I am evaluating design of wireless communication in power supply with nRF24L01P, and I have 4 questions.

1.I want to know the Mean Time Between Fails (MTBF) and Failures in Time (FIT) of nRF24L01P,  and does Nordic have reliability report of it?

2.Can it work well in transformer oil immersion environment for a long time?

3.Will it be interfered by power supply nearby switch in 1k~100kHz?

4.I put 2 nRF24L01P stand 0.1~0.2 metres apart with PCB antenna and no shelter, can it work well or not be blocked?

Best regards,

Storm

  • 1. MTBF for the nRF24L01+  is 1/51 * 1e9 (hours)

    2. That depends on the oil. I'd probably give the PCB a good layer of conformal coating first

    3. This depends on the field strength of the signal from the power supply and if it will couple to the radios power supply.

    4. If you have two devices this near each other, with one transmitting and one receiving, you can communicate between them, but the if you try to receive from another device further away, this will probably be blocked by the transmittter.
