nrf52840 DK and Dongle: what the last info on the Sticker?

Hi,

On both nrf52840 DK and Dongle, the sticker shows 4 info:
- PCA board ID
- version
- year.month
- Serial Number/MAC Address

Could you please clarify what the last value is?

The issue is that I am using Dongle devices for a OpenThread application. I was expecting the link-local address assigned to each device to compiled using the MAC address printed on the sticker. However, that's not the case. Can you please help me understand what address is and if that is stored on the device (FICR register?).

Hi Marco, 

The serial number vs mac address depends on the product. E.g. the nRF52840 development kit has a JLink device, which the dongle does not. The serial number is from the JLink device, while MAC address is the device itself stored in FICR.
