NFC Android Pairing warning "Could not connect"

Hi,

Android shows a message that the NFC Pairing was not successful, but it looks that the connection was established successfully (Device in the connected devices, data transfer successful).I tested also the example and it looks like that there is the same behavior.

SDK 17.0.2
Android 10

Steps to reproduce :

  1. Flash "ble_app_hrs_nfc_pairing" example
  2. Establish Connection with the NFC antenna
    1. Accept Connection on the phone
    2. Phone shows connected message
  3. Wait around 15 seconds
  4. Phones shows warning "could not connect ...."

Why is this failure/warning message displayed on the phone?
What has to be done that this message is not showed anymore?

It looks that this warning exist already for some long time, why is it not solved in the examples?

  • Hi

I think this pop-up is embedded somewhere in the Android stack for some reason, and our devs have seen this behavior before, but have not been able to track down why exactly this is happening in the past. It does not seem to be part of the nRFConnect app.

    Best regards,

    Simon
