How to know what kind of peer is connecting to my device

Hi guys,

My device is in peripheral role and it normally connects with phones/tablets/computers.

I tried to search for device information service but this service is not available on iOS devices. So, is there anyway other way to know my peer's device type? e.g is it an iPhone, a Mac, or an Android tablet?

I'm running SD s110 v7.0.0 on nrf51822 chip.

No, there is nothing in GATT/GAP that would be similar to a http agent header (for example). If the central has a public address, you could eventually derive the manufacture of the central device. In the other way, your peripheral device can define an appearance: link text
