nRF9160 DK: Unable to connect to nRF Cloud

I currently trying to get my DK connected to nRF Cloud, I am based out of Western US and I have already provisioned my SIM card. I followed the documentation instructions up to this point and it says I should be seeing LED3 and LED4 light up for an established connection, but my DK never even has LED3 blinking as to look for the connection. I have tried turning my board on and off, redownloading the firmware/software, deleting and re-provisioning the SIM card, all to no avail. Any idea why this might be happening?
