softdevice sector sd_softdevice_enable

Hi, My problem is next. I want to use some of examples for nrf51822 on costum board but code stuck at sd_softdevice_enable(). As I cant see where is this function defined, I suppose I must download some part of code that have softdevice in some sector of flash. and after that to download my code on top of it. If that is true, where can I find such hex file? If no I'm not sure what to do. I tryed all I found on this forum and all was connected with oscillator problem but nothing helped me.

Ah, I missed to see that part of your question. It depends on which revision of nordic chip you have. Assuming that you have latest (if not check the compatibility matrix ) go to developer.nordicsemi.com/.../ download and extract the zip file from the selected SDK, Aftr extracting, the softdevice is located at components\softdevice\S130\hex (assuming you want to download S130 with concurrent central and peripheral abilities) Try reading more about the softdevice here good luck Do not forget to change your application IRAM and IROM setting as it has to work together with softdevice. devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../

You can either use nrfGo studio or nrfjprog to flash the softdevice hex file.

If you are not using the correct header file version of the softdevice then things start to go unpredictable. Wrong parameters into SVC call in worst case will call wrong sd_functions inside softdevice or give a hardfault. Find out which version of hex file you are using for the softdevice and fetch their correct headers.
