Thingy:91 iBASIS SIM card activation

The iBASIS SIM card I received with the Thingy:91, during activation, I got an error message that the SIM card is expired. I contacted the iBASIS support and I got a new SIM card after a week, which during activation again fails with the message "Vendor for '8949.................4F' not found"

I found out that the new SIM card has 19digits ICCID and it is possible to enter ONLY18digits on the activation window. Please provide a SIM card with 18 digits or fix the activation window ASAP.

  • Hello folks,

I'm having a similar problem.   I just purchased a Thingy:91 (received it yesterday) and it has an 18 digit code on the front.   I tried entering this into the registration window in nRF cloud, and it said it's expired.   I logged into the AT terminal, and did the %XICCID as suggested by Markus, and it shows the same code with two more digits (20 total) after it (4F).

I can't tell if it's a website glitch and I need to be able to enter two more digits, or an artifact of the XICCID command, or if the eSIM is actually expired.

Do I need a new SIM?

    Thanks
