When we are developing the firmware for SOC like nRF52833, which layer of BLE will we need to interact?

It is a very basic question. 

For SOC firmware development with Segger and SDK, which layers of BLE are codes covering? Are Host and controller layers transparent to developers or they are also part of the code base in the firmware fused into the flash?

Hi Neo,

First of all, Nordic provided two different SDKs with different Bluetooth stacks. See nRF Connect SDK and nRF5 SDK statement.

If you are starting now you probably want to start with the nRF Connect SDK, and that includes a full BLE stack, consisting of a host from the Zephyr project, and a controller. By default the proprietary SoftDevice Controller is used, and this is provided as binary only. You can also optionally use the Zephyr host, which is provided in source code. I suggest you start with the Getting started part of the nRF Connect SDK documentation to get an overview of the SDK as a whole.
