Power Consumption of nrf52810

• hello guys ,

  In my project i am trying to reduce power consumption of nrf52810 with sensor. when a device is powered up  it consumes 1.2mA  without BLE advertisement and i wrote code to advertise the BLE by pressing button and once i pressed button the BLE starts to advertise and i will set  some time intervals through mobile application of nrf connect to buzzer on till 30 min but at this time it consumes 9mA . So tel me

  1.how to reduce this to micro Amps

  2.how to calculate the total current per day by using PPK in Nordic

  one thing i found here is i couldn't push my device to sleep mode , since the device powered up and it consumes around 1.2mA so this is very high and i need to push my device to sleep mode once the device powered up and when i pressed the button it should wake and BLE advertisement should happen then i will set the time intervals to buzzer on and in between this time the device should be in sleep mode . So anybody  please help me to resolve this problem .

Please tell if you are using nRF5 SDK or you are using nRF Connect SDK ?

thanks for your reply, i am using nrf5 SDK for programing and to check power consumption with power profiler kit(PPK) using  NRF Connect of a desktop application ,in that power profiler to check  the power consumption of my device.

Hi Sagarnayak, 

Please try testing with the \example\peripheral\rtc . It should consume a few uA when testing. This is just to verify that there is no leakage in the board. 
After that you can try testing with a ble example for example ble_app_hrs. 

If you see high current consumption , please send us the screenshot/trace from the nRF Connect power profile application.
