Is it possible to do the BLE Mesh DFU from NRF52832 dongle to NRF52833 Device?

Hi 

Here are the case:

1. We have a usb dongle which simply consist NRF52832 and usb to serial adapter.

2. We have many sensors which are developed with NRF52833 and configure a BLE mesh network.  

3, The software we use is MESH SDK v5.0 and nRF5_SDK_17.0.2.

From the documentation, it seems we must need to use the same type of NRF MCU in order to do the mesh DFU.

Is it possible using other nrf mcu such as nrf52832/nrf52840 to do the mesh DFU?

Hi,

The mesh DFU version of nRF Util supports use of an nRF52 or nRF52840 DK connected to a PC for performing the mesh DFU.

Other than that, the Proprietary mesh DFU protocol documentation covers what is needed for making your own implementation. (The nRF Util source can be used for reference.)
