new to this, but I don't have a 'services folder' in the project pane

I am trying to use the template to create my own application. In two places I have read, that to add my own services, I just "Double-click the Serives folder in the Project pane to the left". I am using Keil. I have a custom board, and am programming it with the board in the dev kit.

The sample applications work perfectly on my custom hardware. Now I am ready to make my own application, but I am not able to add in the needed file to run my own service. There simply is not any "Services folder" in the project pane to the left.

I am following the nAN-36.

You mean the BLE services?

Also, what SoftDevice and SDK are you using?

If you are using SDK 7.2 or 8.1,

\nRF51_SDK_X.X.X_cf547b5\components\ble\ble_services

in this directory, the BLE services related source code and header file exist.

X.X.X can be 7.2.0 or 8.1.0.

Add these source codes to your "Services folder".

I am using s110 and I believe SDK 8.1.0.

I have created two files, ble_dcs.h and ble_dcs.c

I modeled them after the nAN-36 app note to create my own service.

How do I get them into my project? Do I need to edit a Makefile or source input file? Do I need to edit the target properties?

You don't need a specific folder. Use any, or make your own by right clicking on the project folder on top, then Add group. Rename it, and add your c file by right clicking and "Add existing file to Group". You also need to include the path; Options for Target->C/C++->Include Paths
