Does nRF Connect maintain the pairing information between sessions?

When I pair the peripheral with a dongle connected to nRF Connect Desktop application, then disconnect and Connect again, the nRF Connect does not remember that it was paired to peripheral. Also, if I manually initiate the pairing by writing to the secure characteristic, the nRF Connect does not establish a secure link with this already paired device. If i repair, then peripheral rejects the pairing/bonding request because it is receiving this request from an already bonded central device.

Is this the expected behavior? Will it be possible for the nRFConnect to maintain the pairing information atleast until the application is launched and up and running (not closed)?

  • Hello,

Ideally I guess nRF Connect should maintain pairing information, but it doesn't no.

In terms of how the peripheral behave, this is expected behaviour, it's a security precaution in case an attacker is trying to imitate the central device.
