Thingy:52 compile micropython need target board name

Hi,

I am compiling micropython port for Thingy:52. I am following instructions here https://github.com/micropython/micropython/blob/master/ports/nrf/README.md

I see that there is no target board for the Thingy:52 in the list. 

What board name should I use:

Would this work for the Thingy:52?

make BOARD=pca10040 SD=s132

Hi Alexis

Most our Developement Kits and Thingys have stickers on them, where the PCA number can be found. The Thingy:52 is PCA20020.

The Thingy:52 has a nRF52832 inside, so to find which SoftDevice(SD) can be used, see nRF52832 SDKs and SoftDevices Compability Matrix.

Thanks for the answer. The compilation for the micropython port  fails with pca20020. I am using:

make BOARD=pca20020 SD=s132

I get the error:

Invalid BOARD specified. Stop.

I wonder what board name was used to certify this works with Thingy:52 as it says in the documentation. Can you find out?

Hi

Right, there are no configuration for the Thingy specifically.

My guess is that the pca10040 will work fine, but that you have to change some pinout at some point.

If you want to know for sure, I recommend that you ask MicroPython, for example at https://forum.micropython.org/.
