BLE - nfc tag

Hi,

I'm a little confused about nfc tags.

I understand that we can use them for pairing and keys exchange.

However - what happens after pairing? Do server and client continue send data to each other via regular BLE channels, and nfc tag doesn't do anything after pairing?

I know that there is a TWN, based on nfc and it's used for data transmission as well.

So what is the difference?

Hi Roei,

The NFC only act as an OOB way to transmit pairing data when you do the initial pairing. After the pairing information has been exchanged it will not play any role in BLE communication. 

I'm not aware of TWN, not sure which technology /term you are looking at.
