Is it possible to asynchronously get latest rssi value?

Hello again Nordic World!

Yet another question about getting RSSI values:

Again, using 10028 and 10040 boards under sdk 12.3.

Is the adc acquisition of rssi done synchronously, in background once started, or is it acquired when the get is called only upon a change event?

I need to get the latest value asynchronously, if possible.

Hello and happy new year!

First you need to call sd_ble_gap_rssi_start() to start continuous sampling of the RSSI (you can set a high threshold level and 'skip_count' if you don't want to be interrupted by the BLE_GAP_EVT_RSSI_CHANGED event.  Then you can retrieve the latest RSSI sample by calling sd_ble_gap_rssi_get().
