Version of library LVGL used in nRF Connect SDK

Hello, 
 I'm using the library LVGL on the board nRF9160 DK with an LCD screen. 
 In the lastest version of nRF Connect SDK (v.1.8.0), the version v7 is used for the library LVGL if I'm not wrong. There are new releases for this lib, v8 and v8.1 ( https://github.com/lvgl/lvgl/tree/release/v8.1 ). Do you plan on updating the lib in the next versions of SDK? If not, is it a choice to stay with this version ? Do you recommend me to add the new lib in my nRF project myself? Thank you in advance,

This is not really controlled by Nordic or nRF Connect SDK, it is the zephyr project that is using a fork of the lvgl library: https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/lvgl 
 I can see there is a pull request that in zephyr to update the lvgl library, so I assume this will will occur not too long: https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/lvgl/pulls 
 If you can't wait for the zephyr project to update, then you will need to manually download and replace directly from the source: https://github.com/lvgl/lvgl/tree/release/v8.1
