Visual Studio not recognizing connected devices?

Hi Everyone,

I've just started to work with zephyr, I installed west, the lastest version of the NCS and all the plugins/extensions in Visual Studio, but when I connect a dk to flash it, Visual Studio doesn't recognize it.

I've updated J-Link and nothing, also tried reinstalling. I updated West too.

I don't know what information do you need to know what I'm doing wrong. It doesn't show an error, it just doesn't show anything.

Hi Matias,

Which version of nRF Connect SDK are you using? Did you try updating to the latest version v3.9.2?

Which DK are you trying to connect?

Also, does this problem arise only while using VS Code?

I'm using nRF Connect 3.9.1 because the lastest two versions (3.9.2/3) was giving me problems so I returned.

NCS version 1.8

The DK in question is nrf52840dk_nrf52840

Yes, the problem is only with VSCode, all the other apps (programmer from nrf connect for desktop, jlink rtt viewer, etc) can see the device without problem.

Hi Matias,

We currently rely on running nrfjprog -i to list out connected devices. Can you run that and see if it is listed?

The issue was solved, I updated (I have already done it, but I uninstalled and reinstalled) the Nordic Command Line Tool, and it worked, and now VS Code recognizes my DK, and I can Erase & Flash the program.
