Flash nRF5284 Dongle from M1 Mac laptop

Question

I am trying to use the dongle as a BLE sniffer. I have followed the directions on how to program the dongle including downloading and installing the jLink software. 
 
 When I plugin the dongle to USB, I get a flashing red light. 
 Pressing the reset button does not change the frequency of the flashing light. 
 jLink cannot find any USB devices. 
 
 What am I missing?

Hi, 
 Unlike the DKs, the nRF52840 dongle does not have a onboard debugger (so no J-link), so any Segger tools or nrfjprog will not work. In order to program it, you need to use USB DFU. I recommend you use the nRF Connect Programmer for programing the dongle, as it will handle that for you.
