Selection of Nordic device

I need a battery-powered programmable device to communicate via Bluetooth to a headset, and communicate with another device via serial (TXD/RXD) interface.  Performance requirements are low, need to query the serial device once per two seconds, and in some cases transmit very brief (2-3 words) audio to the headset.  I have quite a bit of experience with BLE in the Apple environment, little with traditional Bluetooth, little exposure to nRF development.  So I'm looking for guidance on a Nordic device to start with, hopefully some tutorials that illustrate how to use the device as described, and some guidance on the necessary starting development hardware.

You could start by looking at product specifications for nRF52 series (for example nRF52832, nRF52833 and nRF52840) and nRF53 series (nRF5340) devices. By clicking on the first link you can also find nRF52 Series IC comparison which you may find useful. Regarding programming, you could start by reading Getting started with development. For the chosen board you can find many examples/samples, for example nRF samples. With regard to hardware, you can start reading about, for example, nRF52840 board key features. On the same page you can find HW files. HW description and user guide gives more information about HW elements including HW drawings.
