Connected device not displayed.

I have just installed VS Code and was following the videos for building an application. My board does not show up on the nRF Connect tab connected devices. The status bar at the bottom indicates COM7 is connected and the volume is accessible via File Explorer.

The board is an nRF52 DK and I think the processor is a 52832. There is a sticker covering the MCU with this info:

PCA10040

V1.1.0

2016.23

682739971

The SDK and toolchain are version 1.8.0

  • I checked the cmd line tool and there was a message about a file preventing installation and it also offered to remove it. After executing repair fixed it. I thought I had the filename in the clipboard but lost it. I do know "west" was part of the name.

Now 682739971 shows up in connected devices but the configuration wants to call it 96b_carbon_nrf51 instead of nRF52DK

  • Hi John,

Are you able to change the name in the configuration to the required board name? 'nRF5 SDK'

    Regards,

    Priyanka
