Is the characteristic attribute handle freely configurable?

I am developing nrf52832 (S132 v7.0.1, SDK v17.0.0) as a peripheral.

I am creating a characteristic using characteristic_add. I want to set the attribute handle at that time. It is listed as 0xNNNN in the core specification of the Bluetooth SIG, and we believe that it can be set by the user individually.

Is it possible to set it? If you can set it, please tell me how to set it.

Hi,

The handles are assigned automatically by the stack. There is no API for specifying a specific handle number.

Yes, it is same as long as it is added to the attribute table in the same order .With respect to our softdevice, this handle is just the index of the attribute in the attribute table. So it remains same for sure as long as your device is up and running and it remains same for ever if you add the attributes in the same order when chip restarts.
