Unable to run VSCode nRF Connect plugin

Hi DevZone !

Here is my issue:
I use to work with VSCode and nRF Connect for desktop for a few months now.
Early on Monday, I did uninstall all my dev environment (VSCode, nRF Connect for destktop, nRF command line tool, JLink and Segger drivers, and every related software I found on my computer) in order to have an up-to-date dev env.
Then I reinstall everything:

 - nrf-command-line-tools-10.15.2-x86
 - nrfconnect-setup-3.9.3
 - VSCodeSetup-ia32-1.63.2
 - Windows 10 Enterprise 64bits

And now, when I run VSCode and go to the nRF plugin, I see only the "Loading..." text on the plugin tabs (WELCOME and APPLICATIONS),
and when I try CTRL+Shift+P and type nrf-connect.<anyfeature>, I got the "command 'nrf-connect.<anyfeature>' not found error message.

Thanks in advance for your support.

  • Hello Guillaume,

     - Windows 10 Enterprise 64bits

Did you re-install Windows too, or am I misunderstanding you?

    Regards,

    Elfving

  • Hi Elfving,

    Sorry for the late response.
    It's a mistake, I didn't reinstall Windows, but it's the version I use.

I found a way to bypass the issue, installing VSCode in 64bits version.
Then the nRF Connect plugin is working as expected.

But the 32bits VSCode version still can't run the nRF plugin.

Let say my main issue is solved, I can work back to my project.

    Thanks for your help ;)
