nRF9160 DK & Custom board

Hello,
I have a few questions about operation around the nRF9160.

I uploaded a minimal program on the nRF9160-DK card to obtain low consumption.
I get 600uA on average.
In tutorials it seems possible to go down to 6-7uA.
I did set CONFIG_SERIAL=n, and a k_sleep(K_MSEC(5000)); loop.

What am I forgetting?

What is the minimum consumption possible in idle mode (program without action)?

You have set CONFIG_SERIAL=n in your application, but it may be that you have several child images that are also compiled, and these may also need to set CONFIG_SERIAL=n. For more information about child images see:

Hi, thanks for answer.

I use an Otii Arc as Power analyser with SMU mode (SMU- (GND), USB and SMU+).
I think i'm good on this point.

I don't have a child image on my program.
I build and upload through VS Code.

I tested an other simple program putting CONFIG_SERIAL=n on the SPM part. Always 600uA.
That should give 30-40uA apparently.

Do you power cycle the board after programming to exit debug mode? Did you test the pre-compiled hex file in the link I shared?

I don't know why but after restarting the method for the 100th time, it works.

1 to 3uA for the nRF9160DK and around 30-40uA for the custom board, as expected.

I keep moving forward, thanks for the help!
