Please confirm treatment of VBUS on the nRF52840 if VDDH is used

We are supplying the nRF52840 from 5 V into the VDDH pin.  We are not using the USB interface, so I want to confirm what our options are for the VBUS pin.  Can we leave it floating, or must it be grounded or have a capacitor on it?  The circuit configurations in the datasheet show both the grounding and capacitor options, and it makes sense to me that floating it might be okay too because if we had a USB connector with no cable plugged in, VBUS would be floating.

Hi Scott,

The VBUS pin is the input for the 3.3V regulator for the USB communications lines, D- and D+, it is also used for the USBDETECT and USBREMOVED events. Grounding the VBUS pin is recommended when not using the USB interface, the USB regulator decoupling, DECUSB, can be floating when not used.
