pm_config.h: No such file or directory

Hi,

I'm trying to build the blinky example for the nRF5340 network processor with the empty_app_core as a child image for the application processor and get a fatal error that pm_config.h is not found. It seems the file is generated in the build folder. The example builds fine without the add_child_image() command. I have attached the error log and example code below.

ivnn thank you very much for the input. I also tried with the non secure version as mentioned in the linked issue but without any luck. It works when the child image is not attached but still with multi image enabled.

Could you please share a full project to be able to build it or your setup preconditions?

ivnn I have created a small self contained project which only requires arm-none-eabi-gcc and CMake installed locally or in a container. We normally use CMake for building so this is why the west commands are executed from here. There is a build.sh script which you just need to run. It will checkout the nRF repos etc.

I tried to look into adding a custom child image to an application using NCS v1.8.0 recently, take a look at this patch:

It shows how to add a custom child image to a hello world application.

Please let me know if you're not able to run the sample in the attached patch or if it's not suficcient.
