IFTTT configuration

Is the button (from Thingy52 black case) the only option to trigger an IFTTT?  Can I use the sensor's information to trigger an event with the IFTTT? like if the temperature is 30 C, send information to a website? and since I'm new to Eddystone beacon and IFTTT, where can I learn the basics to start creating the IFTTT codes?

Hi

You can indeed specify different events when sending data to IFTTT. Instead of having the one "button_press" event, you can find more information on the Thingy:52 and Cloud (IFTTT) functionalities in the Thingy:52 user guide.

I guess you could also use the IFTTT Maker Platform. You can also use the Nordic Thingy app source code for your phone to configure the app to send temperature info to a website if you want, as it will be the phone, and not the Thingy:52 communicating over Wi-Fi.

I'm using the IFTTT Maker Platform, I create an event on webhooks to send an email when temperature is above certain threshold like this video shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSRPj-0saWA , but I can only test it using the webhook documentation plus, I manually write the temperature that triggers this. 

How can I use webhook and IFTTT to send an email or notification when the thingy event name: temperature_update is higher than a certain value like 30C. I'm using an android app. I can also try to use the web app. I have try Nordic thingy app source code, but I'm not sure what file exactly to modify.

Okay, so you have created a webhook similar to what's done in the video, but you need the Thingy to transmit its temperature information to the app, is that it? To make changes to the Thingy:52 application, you can use the Thingy:52 SDK downloadable here.
