Hi ,
1.Does this chip stream media, i.e. music playback?
2.Is there a new nRF5340 chip to be released that can play music without codec?
1- Yes, the nRF5340 is the SoC we recommend for LE Audio development, for instance see:
https://www.packetcraft.com/post/packetcraft-s-bluetooth-le-audio-solution-supports-the-nordic-semiconductor-nrf5340-wireless-soc
2. No, there will always need to be a codec - the LC3 codec is mandatory for LE Audio and it is optional to switch to other codecs if boths sides of the link support it.
Best regards,
Kenneth
