Working with SiM Solutions outside of iBasis

Hello

I was considering using sim cards other than iBasis for the nrf9160.  I was wondering if they could still be provisioned using nRF cloud, or if there was a different process needed to setup sim cards that do not come standard with the 9160.  I was also wondering if there were any limitations on the type of sim card.  The sim card should be compatible as long as coverage is available, the package is the correct size, and the sim card is NB-IoT or LTE-M correct?

    Hi Jake,

    For the nRF cloud, the certification information is stored in the nRF9160 modem, you can just jump the iBasis card registration step.

    I can confirm that a SIM(with NB-IoT/LTE-M profiles) card from the operator which supports NB-IoT or LTE-M network should be OK.
