Thingy 52 factory firmware for Thingy 91

Hi,

I just want to know is there any Pre compiled hex files are available to convert my Thingy 91 as Thingy 52, I just want to use my Thingy 91 with Thingy 52 Bluetooth application and want to receive the data. Because I don't have a LTE connection as well as external debugger so I can only program via usb connection, I need some help.

Hi Pradeep,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to implement this. Thingy91 and Thingy52 are two separate, different products and hence it's not possible to convert them into one another.

But i can see thingy:91 has a thingy:52 core on it.

The Thingy52 is built around the nRF52832SoC and the Thingy91 is built around the nRF9160SoC. There is an nRF52840 multiprotocol SoC on the Thingy91 but it is for the option of adding Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, in case you require.

Hence they are two separate products and it is not possible to convert.
