V3.10.0 of Power Profiler - Long term readings just stop updating.

Hello,

I'm using the power profiler to perform current measurement of our IoT device. It appears to work well when running for a few minutes capturing. When I wrong for long periods (1 msec samples for 12 hrs), it hangs at various times. The last run was 46 minutes. The display is 1 min, so I see it moving across the display (as it should) and then it just stops updating the screen. The START/STOP button is still display STOP so it was not stopped by me. I'm running Windows 11, have a high end laptop. I'm puzzled.

Hi Shawn,

This could be due to power saving by your computer. Does you laptop try to save energy in any way? You could try disabling all means of power saving.

My laptop is always plugged in and is setup to NEVER go into sleep. I do not believe that is the issue.

Is there a means to store the raw data to a file while it is capturing the data?

Hi Shawn,

power saving does not necessarily mean going to sleep, but can also mean things like USB selective suspend or similar things which can affect the computer even when not awake.
