VS Code cannot flash to device

I have following the getting started tutorial and install everything mentioned in the documentation.

But the button "Flash" or "Erase and Flash" in VS Code are not working. I have tried updated all the extensions from VS Code and restart the computer. But none the methods works. It is not the connection problems because I can successfully programmed the tutorial using SEGGER Embedded Studio.

Hi Sam,

This looks like a bug on the nRF Connect Extension for VS Code V1.65. Few other customers have downgraded from VS Code V1.65 and it works well. We have received reports regarding this and our internal team is working on a fix. I will get back to you as soon as I get a response from the team.

I have the same problem! Until yesterday it was ok, but today I got to work and VS Code can build the application normally but when I press Flash, or Erase and flash, nothing happens!

Hi,

The bug can be overridden for the time being by flashing from the Command pallette, i.e. press Ctrl+Shift+P and then select "nRF Connect: Flash to Board" or "nRF Connect: Erase Board" or "nRF Connect: Erase and Flash Board". This will help take care of the problems with the actions panel for now.

Thanks for the quick answer, but I already downgraded VS Code to version 1.63.2, in this version everything is working ok!

The latest version of our extension (releasing this week) will contain a fix for the issue.
