PPK2 not present in 'Select Device' List

Hi,

I have been using the PPK2 with older software (nRF connect for desktop 3.7.?) on Windows 7 64bit.

Initially all was working correctly then on the next day, the Power Profiler 'scope view' of current did not appear (all other functions appeared to work).

In this level of software the PPK2 could be selected from the 'SELECT DEVICE' window.

I was prompted to download version 3.10.0 - which I did and now I there is no PPK2 device shown in the 'SELECT DEVICE' window.

I have seen other posts where connecting TP34 to ground on power up has worked  - I have tried this and although the system re installed the USB driver for the PPK2 , this has not solved the problem.

Did you try switching the USB cable.? Is the device detected in the device manager.?

Hi Swathy,

Yes a second USB cable was tried and still not working (confirm plugged into USB -Data/Power) and yes, the PPK2 is detected as COM12 in the device Mgr ) please see attached pdf in the last part of previous message.

Other information - PPK2 has green pulsing light on and is powered directly form laptop - not through any USB Hub.

Hi Glyn,

It doesn't seem like the issue with the ppk2. Could you try connecting the ppk2 to a different computer, say Windows 10 just to check if the issue remains the same and let me know.?

Unfortunately I do not have a windows 10 machine to try.

I have just tried re installing desktop version 3.7.1 (which it was originally working with) and version 3.9.3

Neither of these work

I have loaded the 3.10.0 desktop onto a windows 10 machine and again the PPK2 is not recognized and does not appear in the 'Select device' list

Can you please advise on the next steps
