I am new to embedded f/w development. I would like to be able to debug zephyr projects. Can anyone recommend a debug probe to use with the nRF5340? and any debugger software I should use?
Thanks.

What are your constraints? Something like the Segger J-Link EDU might be a good value for the money. Watch out for high shipping fees though.
Both models are currently out of stock but I just got a Mini about 2 weeks ago so maybe it's a temporary supply issue. You can also find clones (which may or may not be reliable) on Aliexpress.
why not use a nRF5340-DK?
I am actually going to work with the Laird BL5340, supply chain issues. Does that affect the choices to make for a debug probe and debug software/IDE?
Hello,
Both previous answers are relevant to you. Make sure to have debug connectors to your BL5340 module, as instructed in the module datasheet.
Kind regards,
