Well that is a mess. What's up with the wall of text that was separated with spaces?
It also screwed up the second link I entered.
Hi,
In this Installing the nRF Sniffer page, it said
"Download nRF Sniffer for Bluetooth LE v4.x or later and extract the archive into a folder of your choice. In the following sections, this folder is referred to as Sniffer_Software."
Therefore, the next section Programming the nRF Sniffer firmware guides the programming flow. It might cause the confused if the reader doesn't go through the previous section to download the Sniffer_Software. I would suggest the team improve it.
Well, what do I do with the SEGGER J-Link Software?
Download and install the firmware for your macOS.
Where is the Sniffer_Software/hex/ folder noted in step 3?
Download via https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nrf-sniffer-for-bluetooth-le/download#infotabs
Suggest using the latest version.
Where is the sniffer_nrf52840dongle_nrf52840_*.hex file?
It's under nrf_sniffer_for_bluetooth_le\hex
Do I need to use the J-Link SW to download it?
It needs the J-Link SW to connect the device and program.
Regards,
Amanda
