Compatibility issues for nRF Connect SDK

I am working with SPI for the mfrc522 RFID reader. We were able to read the card previously while we used nRF connect SDK version 1.5.1 and nRF connect 3.6.1

Now I am not able to establish SPI communication with my mfrc522 RFID reader and I doubt whether this is an issue due to the SDK compatibility as we initially developed the project using SDK 1.5.1

How can I use the SDK 1.5.1 with the nRF connect desktop application? I tried manual installation following the tutorial given on the nordic developer website. But after successful installation, the SDK is not showing as installed in the toolchain manager. How can I work with older nRF SDK in the toolchain manager?

Hi Finny,

You can still access the previous SDK version in the Toolchain Manager. Open the nRF Connect for Desktop, select the Toolchain Manager and go to the Settings on the top left. From here, de-select the "Show only 3 newest minor versions".

Now when you go back to the "SDK Environments", you can find all the previous version available for installation.

Thanks for the Info. But could you confirm, whether the applications I have created using older versions support the latest SDK? I am working with  MFRC522 RFID card reader using SPI communication.
