NRF52840 Development kit (PCA10056) not working anymore

Hello,

I've been working with NRF52840 for a while now. Recently I decided to add extra options to your code so I went to the development kit for a quick test and debugging.

Unfortunately, I notice that the DK wasn't booting up. After some debugging, using the schematics I realized that the U12 (5V booster) wasn't working since the output is around (1.4V). Also, U12 is becoming really hot, so I think that it might be some sort of short circuit on the DK. I don't have time to pursue this, so I'm asking about your experience here.

Did anyone experience this issue? Any clue on what can be the problem? I've some soldering skills, so I might be able to fix the DK if I found the issue.

Hello Fernando,

Have you tired with the different USB cables or tried powering up from other external source or battery?

You may try this.
