I don't have enough pins to dedicate a SPI bus to the nRF21540.
In the webinar I attended I believe I heard that the SPI bus is not supported by the current SDK anyway, or at least that you don't need the SPI bus.
Regarding the /CSN signal when not using the SPI, should I tie it high or do I need to be able to control it with GPIO?
Section 9.1 table 9 of the datasheet states regarding CSN "Connect to VDD if SPI interface is not used"
Section 5.1 regarding CSN states "When the device is in the Receive state, CSN needs to be driven low as shown in Figure 3: Pin control RX state on page 12."
