Gazell is not supported for the nRF52820 in the nRF5 SDK unfortunately. This chip was released at the time when we were migrating most of the software resources to the new nRF Connect SDK. 

Gazell is not properly supported in the new SDK either, but there is a library available here:
https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-nrfxlib/tree/v1.9.1/gzll/lib/nRF52820/soft-float

Unfortunately we don't have any examples or libraries in the nRF Connect SDK implementing this library, so the support is very limited. 

If having support for Gazell on the nRF52820 is critical I suggest you discuss this with your Nordic sales representative. If you have not yet been in touch with our sales group let me know, and I will provide you with the right contact details.
