West compilation error: CONFIG_TEMP_NRF5 and CONFIG_TEMP_NRF5_MPSL have both been enabled, but must not be used together

Hi 

I want to measure chip temperature of nrf52840.

For this I referred "sdk-zephyr/samples/bluetooth/peripheral_ht/src/hts.c" 

and  I have enabled  "CONFIG_TEMP_NRF5=y" in prj.conf. 

But after adding code from the file and enabling this conf, I am facing below compilation error:

CMake Error at nrf/drivers/mpsl/temp_nrf5/CMakeLists.txt:12 (message):
  CONFIG_TEMP_NRF5 and CONFIG_TEMP_NRF5_MPSL have both been enabled, but must
  not be used together.

So what is the work around here to resolve this compilation error?

Oh, I just assumed you based it upon peripheral_ht because of what you said here:

I have referred to that example to check how to get nrf5 chip temperature because that was referred to in another ticket for nrf5 temperature. But I haven't added peripheral_ht code and Configs.

Ah okey, never mind that point on Bluetooth configurations then. 

Did removing one of the configurations work for you?

No. I couldn't resolve the issue. And if I remove "CONFIG_TEMP_NRF5" my code gets compiled but I am unable to get chip temperature.

So what should I do so that i don't get any compilation error but I get nrf52840 chip temperature also.

Ah right, my mistake. You will have to go with the MPSL API for this instead as TEMP is being used by MPSL.

Unfortunately this means that you can't use the TEMP API you got in the peripheral_ht Zephyr example. However, the MPSL TEMP API is even easier.

I just tried this in the COAP server example myself: 

    int32_t dt = 0;

    while (true){

        dt = mpsl_temperature_get();

        k_msleep(100);

        double ddt = dt/4.0;

        printk("MPSL Chip die Temperature: %.2f C\n", ddt);

    }
